May is well-known for Memorial Day, Cinco De Mayo and of course Mother's Day.

For me it means a whole lot of birthdays to celebrate, including several nieces and nephews and my wonder father.

But I digress. Let's talk about some famous people for a minute.

Some well-known people were born in the month of May. Like Audrey Hepburn, Tammy Wynette, Frankie Valli, James Brown and Sugar Ray Robinson.

I love Audrey Hepburn and James Brown- odd combination for May, but I suppose they both have "superior talent" in common.

There are also some week-long observances including: Teacher Appreciation Week, National Police Week, and National Pet Week.

And the entire month of May is dedicated to causes such as Asthma and Allergy; Better Hearing and Speech; and Mental Health.
