George Washington was born February 22, 1732 in Westmoreland County, Virginia. He was commissioned a lieutenant colonel in 1754.

In 1789, he took oath as the first President of the United States. After a great many accomplishments, his term ended in 1797.

Two years after his term ended, December 14, 1799, he passed away in Mount Vernon, Virginia. The entire country mourned his death.
